Pen Pal Day - Battlefield House Stoney Creek ON

We had a really fun day at the Pen Pal Day.  The event started out a few years ago after the Reclaimation at Kanenhstaton.  Students from Six Nations were paired up with Students from a school in Caledonia to write to each other through out the year.  This was the brain child of Suzie Miller a teacher and band member of the Six Nations of the Grand River and resident of Caledonia.  The event was a great success and culminated in a day of fun and friendship with different events for the students to take part in.  Over the years since this started in 2007 it has grown and now students in other neighbouring towns also participate.  Today's final activity took place at the Battlefield House and Museum in Stoney Creek ON and the students were able to take part in a whole number of fun activities.  Here are our experiences.
