Gladys Speers really showed us some love yesterday. We spent the whole day in their school and they made things go real smooth. They have a small gym but we found a way to fit everyone for the Presentation. Once we got into the workshops we really appreciated the great floor they have. It is perfect for dancing. In our last workshop of the day we worked with the Grade 6 classes. They were fantastic singers and we ended up having a "sing off". It ended up being a girl vs a boy and the girl is a trained singer. The boy was really holding his own until his group made him laugh. Have I mentioned lately how much I love doing this?
Today we were at Jean Vanier in Welland which is a new school. I believe it opened about 2 years ago. The builders did a great job with the stage because the surface is fantastic to dance on. I really enjoyed performing there because they have nice big screens and students willing to run the sound for us. Talk about spoiled, we only had to show up, get dressed and dance. No set up or tear down for us. A girl could really get used to that. I hope everyone has a great day.
