Derek found this great fabric and he had wanted a shirt made from it for months. Well it was at the bottom of my to-do list because he already had a bunch of shirts. Well he found a solution. There is a really cool little shop tucked away in a small plaza in Ohsweken called "More than Traditions". He had this shirt made there and it was an unbeatable price and they had it done superfast. It came out much better than if I made it for him so we're pretty happy with it. There are some really cute beadwork pieces in the shop as well. I like going there because there is always something new.
I am busy working on new moccasins for L. His are pretty rugged. I hope to have them done by the weekend. I doubt I'll have the soles on and stuff but I hope I at least have the actual beading finished. It is such a beautiful day I think I'll go and work on these in the backyard and get some fresh air. I am looking forward to the next powwow for us but it is busy season for us with all the kids sports. I am unsure what our next one will be. At least we have some dance shows lined up which will at least get us dancing.
